According to a study published in the Journal of Abnormal Psychology, there has been a significant increase in rates of depression and anxiety among young adults in recent years, coinciding with the rise of social media use.


Furthermore, research conducted by the Royal Society for Public Health found that social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat have been linked to increased feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and poor body image among young people.
